About Jillian

Jillian Michelle Smith is an actor/singer/dancer based in New York City. She is currently a senior musical theatre major at Marymount Manhattan College, graduating with her BFA in 2023. Jillian is also an alumna of Interlochen Arts Academy's high school theatre performance program, having graduated with honors in 2019. Jillian additionally studied in the BFA musical theatre program at The University of Arizona, under the tutelage of Danny Gurwin and Hank Stratton.


Most recently, Jillian earned recognition for her portrayal of Ariel in The Little Mermaid, which has garnered more than a million views on TikTok alone. Jillian was also seen onstage with Broadway Princess Party, handpicked by Broadway artists Susan Egan, Christy Altomare, Courtney Reed, and Adam J. Levy, under the music direction of Benjamin Rauhala. She also most recently made her producing debut at Feinstein's/54 Below with 54 Sings Barbie, bringing the music of the beloved Barbie movie-musicals to life onstage. Other select regional and conservatory credits include Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella (Ella), The Sound of Music (Liesl), I Never Saw Another Butterfly (Raja), Spring Awakening (Anna) and The Children's Hour (Rosalie).


Outside of her theatrical career, Jillian is super passionate about activism, advocacy, dogs, Disney, and reading (especially fiction, sci-fi and fantasy novels). She is also skilled in graphic design and working with children and runs two small businesses: Princess Playdates and Designs by Jillian! Jillian aims to bring love, light and kindness into every room she enters.
