"As the crown jewel of the piece, Jillian Michelle Smith as Ariel was equal parts ingenue and ingenious." (The Long Island Advance)

Jillian Michelle Smith is an actor, singer and dancer based in New York City. Born and raised on Long Island, New York, Jillian moved to Michigan as a senior in high school to further her training at Interlochen Arts Academy, where she graduated with honors. In May 2023, Jillian received her B.F.A. in Musical Theatre from Marymount Manhattan College.

Most recently, Jillian earned recognition for her portrayal of Ariel in The Little Mermaid, which has garnered more than a million views on TikTok alone. Jillian was also seen onstage with Broadway Princess Party, handpicked by Broadway artists Susan Egan, Christy Altomare, Courtney Reed, and Adam J. Levy, under the music direction of Benjamin Rauhala. She also regularly performs and produces at 54 Below, in shows such as 54 Sings Barbie, The Little Mersisters, and more. Other select credits include Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella (Ella), The Sound of Music (Liesl), and Spring Awakening (Anna).

As a Jewish and neurodivergent artist, Jillian aims to increase acceptance and accurate representation of these communities that she is so proudly a part of. Outside of her theatre career, Jillian is super passionate about activism, advocacy, dogs, Disney, and reading (don't even get her started on the A Court of Thorns and Roses series!). She is also skilled in graphic design, is an experienced social media manager and adores working with children, especially as a party princess. Jillian aims to bring love, light and kindness into every room she enters.
